I heard tires were always fun to haul, it would be tricky finding a spot to park late at night.

With the big ones (13'3") I usually needed two spots, next to impossible to find a spot later in the night, but I was restricted to daylight hrs and knew my places where to stop.

Now pulling a reefer with a Volvo makes things a little easier, until you get to downtown Chicago, a place Bill always loved to send me when I was at GO.

Last week was kind of a screwed up deal. I was supposed to be back the weekend of the 8-9th as I'm showing my house and prepping some paperwork to sell it. Well that didn't happen. I got back Sunday afternoon I think it was. So I didn't leave out til Wednesday and then that didn't leave much to do of anything work wise for that week. Back in the swing of things now I left St. Louis Monday for Quincy IL. Long line at the shipper but when I was with Estes in St Louis I ran Quincy for like 5 years and that was a frequent stop of mine. They recognized me and slipped me on in I wasn't even there 30 minutes. Headed on over to Lincoln and camped out for a 13:00 appointment but they came out at like 9:30 and said they weren't doing anything hit a door. I have a family function this weekend I HAVE to be back for. From Lincoln I was givin the option of going to Denver but that'd be pushing it as I need to get back Thursday. Bill retooled some things and I'm hanging at the yard waiting for a trailer to Oklahoma City to come in that I can snag. Apparently the shipper in Columbus is absolutely bombing with this dedicated freight. I think Memphis, Loveland FL, and Portland are all on hold til they get their stuff together. @The Kraut may be able to shed some light on this but I don't think things are going well out of that plant.

I wasn't on the yard since three weeks as I had two weeks off. No clue what's going on o_O

Picked up a pre loaded trailer in Green Bay on Monday afternoon after my delivery.
Headed down to KC where I camp at the receiver right now and deliver tomorrow morning,
It was 93 F half an hour ago with about 50% humidity. Forecast for tomorrow is 98 here.
I prefer 110 F in the west with 5% humidity

    Forecast for Omaha:
Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Heat index values as high as 110.

Wanna go back home, it was such a nice weather, not too hot, not too humid, mostly sunny.

Ah I see. I didn't know if when you got back if you heard anything more is all. Sounds like not a bad week for you so far. I'm parked a few miles up from where I need to be in the morning. They don't have overnight parking and the shag driver in Omaha didn't come in with this til after noon so I'm gonna hafta do some split sleeper berth to get this right for the appointment time. Last night my APU fanbelt broke and I woke up very uncomfortable to say the least. I swung it thru the shop whilst waiting for my trailer and the boys had it swapped out in no time. I love our shop. I have ALOT of different product for a pretty major foodservice provider in the morning, so something tells me I'll be able to catch a nap.

Yea I was showing 101 degrees comin down I-35 thru Kansas. When I left St Louis Monday they already had issued a heat warning from like noon Tuesday til 7 pm Sunday. Gross.
