Had no good sleep that night in KC, reefer was running all night on high speed
Was unloaded pretty fast Wednesday morning and got a load right away 7 miles from my drop back to the yard. Was loaded and left an hour later. When I was at the yard, I dropped my trailer and went to the shop, my check engine light was on since one week but showed no fault. Shop was busy and Bill had an urgent load for me going to Oklahoma City, so I grabbed my trailer and hammer down.
Delivered early in the morning and was empty after 1 hr 15 minutes. Went back to the J to fuel and had a load 100 miles West back to Omaha. Arrived at the shipper and I was the only truck there
Spent last night in Gretna, delivered my load in the morning and back to the yard. Got the truck washed and went to the shop to get the check engine light cleared. The guys changed my engine belt as a preventive maintenance, they do it when the truck hits 300000 miles, I'm already at 333000.
When I was out of the shop I called shipping and surprise, my trailer was already done
Hooked up and left the suffocating heat heading West.
Will deliver in NorCal on Monday, glad to get out of the humidity
Since I left home last week Thursday morning I'm just shy of 4500 miles, no complaints![]()

If I hammer ole blue down she'll do over 75. Now she can climb grades well but I really have to watch that big CAT as they tend to over heat on big grades. I have to watch my oil pressure, manifold pressure and water temp. The owner told me to not lug a CAT on a big grade, keep the rpms high, and try and keep the manifold pressure at 20, and I should be fine.
Now having said that, I've been averaging about 3200 miles a week, unless I go home, then the big CAT can rest. The Kraut, itaff, Panhandle flash and 1 other person Thank this. -
