I going to orientation on Monday and was wondering if you are still with GOE. If so, I have to assume they have gotten better with your situation or at least not worst. Any info would be appreciated as I have had a very hard time dealing with liars and down right thieves, since coming back out in 2016 after not driving for 20 years. I am ready to throw in the towel and retire. Thanks for your time and if you are still driving, I would like communicate with you on regular basis. Thanks again, Tray Five out.

    The Kraut Thanks this.

bzinger sent me your way, for the 411 on GOE. I may be going to orientation on the 1st and would like all the info you are willing to provide. Do they have you preplanned before you are empty? Do they get you home when you want to be home or do you get any run around? Are the trucks well maintained? Where are you allowed to fuel and when? I guess my main concern is are you mico-managed? I have 18 years total experience, but had to take a 20 year break due to my daughter's mom being killed when she was 4. I still don't deal with drunk drivers very well. I have been back since 2016 and have been lied to and cheated out of my money. Thanks for your time in answering an old man trying to hang on a little longer.

The Kraut and bzinger Thank this.

I will answer your questions, I can only speak for me, as I don't know how it is with other drivers.

A lot has changed in the last two years since bzinger left, and it changed for the good.
I'm preplanned for return loads to Omaha most of the time, I was only sitting once a day in Cali with no load. We got a lot of new lanes in the last two years, that's not a problem anymore.
In Omaha it can happen that you sit and wait for a load sometimes, it all depends on the plant how they get their act together.

I'm home when I want to get home, sometimes I'm flexible and don't care if I'm home a day later. I plan it with dispatch, never had a problem to be home on time if I had an appointment.

Trucks are well maintained, we got a bunch of new Cascadias in the last months, if I have a problem with my old Volvo, they take care of it. Usually you don't have a long waiting time to get in the shop, Mike, our shop manager gets you in and out as fast as possible.

We are fueling only at Pilot/Flying J, but you can fuel wherever and how much you want, it's all up to you.

Absolutely no micro managing, I get my load and then I do my job, they don't call you unless there's something important. They leave me alone ;)

Is it a perfect company? No, show me a perfect company :)
But the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence. Sometimes I have to complain about a few things, to remember them how to make it better ;)

We will get another pay raise as of July 1st, it's the right time for you to jump the boat.

I just finished my last 8 days with almost 4200 miles in 70 hours, I'm very busy and will not be online often, if you have more questions, ask, but you will have to wait for the answers ;)

If I would have to choose between CFI and GO, I would choose GO Express definitely!
