And he gave up 70k dollars in employee benefits in those 3 years. Plus that truck isn't gonna be with 70k. Not a single previously lease purchase truck will be marketed for 70k dollars. Don't believe me then simply look at trucks on truck paper(which has a rep for notoriously over priced trucks) and see what those used lp trucks are really selling for.

Well, I ended up right in the middle of those 2 numbers then. They were at 5.5 % interest for commercial money at the time. In addition, closing the gap between 4 & 5.5 isn't that hard either ;-)

The fact that I even qualified for that loan after what I went through financially just 6 years before was pretty amazing too be honest with you.

How do you insert multiple quotes like that? I've been trying to figure that out, but can't seem to muster enough Millennial spirit to figure it out on my own. Gen X'er and darn proud of it!

Longer term plus higher rate equals exponentially more money for the bank. He was probably hoping you would get lazy and not pay it off earlier.

LoL.. 70k in employee benifits.. can you tell me where to sign up, because Im not getting mine.. Hell the health insurance plan for just myself a healthy adult male was gonna cost me over $3k for a year.. What benifts, a few sick days?

Do you know as a company guy I had to buy my own trailer locks, load locks, snow chains, jumper cables and a assortment of other things that was several hunderd bucks..

Apparently, I missed the line where they handed out the $70k in benifits... All I got was the slower truck that's missing two engine cylinders... lol

I've grossed $5k/week running system fairly consistent this year. But it is a full 7 days out, usually 2-3 weeks at a time that I don't see home.
    I ran 10/06 to 10/28 and took off 10/28 to 11/06
    TOTAL COMMISSIONS $ 3,642.42 ***
    TOTAL COMMISSIONS $ 5,390.70 ***
TOTAL COMMISSIONS $ 4,551.36 *** (this settlement ended on the 23rd)

I had two runs that will fall under the following weeks settlement and they total around $2400. So for the 22 day average I'll have grossed just shy of $16k which works out to $5100 avg per week.

Now if you count my home time it's more like $3500, but I don't normally take 10+ days off for every 22 worked. The first half of the year I'd try to get home on a Saturday or Sunday and then leave the following Friday.

Thanks for that awesome Breakdown! Who are you leased on to?

I'd love to be making that kind of money. The way I see it, if I can net 2000 in a week, I've bought myself a week off. I'd be taking that kind of time off every other month if the revenue was there to support it. I don't need to be filthy stinking rich… Just have the bills paid and put a little in savings.

Go get your family insurance. Workmans comp. The employers matching contribution to social security. Matching 401k. Etc etc etc. Add those up for 3 years then let's see you scoff.

If you bought your own load locks and snow chains that's on you. I don't believe for a minute prime requires its company drivers to buy snow chains. If they did they wouldn't have a single driver.

Then dont believe it.. Im telling you what happened and I just checked out a company truck 3 weeks ago.

None of the stuff you said will equal 70k in 3 years. Also Im single hence the reason I said "single male" when talking about health insurance.. its $74/week btw with a very large deductible and thats the cheapest policy..

I'm fast finding out why no one stays company at Prime.. They also dont match your 401k,.is a percentage..

Btw if you want a box for the side of your truck to put those chains in, that you dont believe we have to buy...well you have to buy the box as well...
