    They are both for the tractor. One is primary the other is secondary. Once you push in your trailer parking break button, your trailer air tank will fill.

    You have two air storage tanks on your tractor..
    The secondary (smaller tank) supplies the accessories in your truck. Below a certain (90psi?) psi the secondary tank will isolate itself itself from the main tank.

    ok here is the thing, the cdl manual, the Air brake test and the Pretrip portion of the road test are a joke. They are too easy, they should test more like 30 questions and an explanation during the practical.

    so I don’t blame you, I blame the system so don’t take it wrong if many of us are critical, we are all screaming about the licensing system.
