I do the same. Head out the window right hand on the wheel. I understand opening the door on Petes and kws bit I've never found in necessary in an aero truck.

My doors just too high for me to get out the window. I did on my procraps I drove at swift tho. On this truck I just open the door. Easier haha

Best method to learn to use is practice and don't over think it. Most of it is muscle memory and reading the trailer.Velli Thanks this. -
Get a lawn mower with a trailer or a pickup and a trailer/ boat ect. Go play until you understand.
Learn how to control your space.
If you can do short wheel base you will have no problems with a longer trailer. Shorter is harder. -

No matter what, after you back into the Mercedes, the correct hand position as you Get Out And Look at the damage is both hands on top of your head as you pace frantically around. I don't know this from personal experience, it just seems to be the thing to do based on YouTube videos.
