Hard hat required

    For years I wore a regular lineman's brimmed hardhat to keep the rain off my neck. Always hated the feeling of cold rain going down my shirt collar...

    And I refused to wear the "community" visitor hardhats. You never know who wore it last.

    I still use mine from CEMEX. I'm with JR, no head lice visitor hat for me.

    This is an acceptable hardhat. I'm just a door slammer, not a real truck driver.

    There are several comments I would love to make on this subject. Most however go back to the fact that when you are on someone's property and/or job it is you that must submit to their requirements. This is the same with protective eye ware as well as safety shoes. I always took an old hardhat, vest, eye ware and steel toe boots and was prepared to put them on as per a request to do so.
