Does this mean you’re more likely to land a job hauling fuel if you relocate to the north, assuming you could handle working in the cold (big assumption)?
Has anyone been able to get hired on with Gemini Motor Transport?

In the current CDL job market -- don't relocate based on a "maybe". Only with a job already in hand.

I'm not trying to piss on your bonfire, but I've heard some distressing things from guys working at Gemini. Especially the tire guys. Hell I even talked to a fella hauling the service trucks on a flatbed that didn't have nice things to say.
I've done tank/hazmat X work, and I've run into plenty of the Gemini guys who were asking about coming to the company I was working on the basis that they weren't all that happy.
Maybe I just get the disgruntled guys, I don't know. But I do know, happy campers don't inquire about straying off the reservation.
Just my $0.02. -
Most any company of any impressive size will probably have its "loser" terminals/locations.
Also -- since Tom Love has passed on -- I've heard that things over there just aren't the same.
The above explains (in part) why I haven't made a more serious effort to find employment there.

In general, Gemini has one of the better reputations in gas hauling, and in my area, the lowest turnover of any company.
Mapco was right there with them until circle k bought them.
Pilot is pretty good, better than average.
There’s so many average and below average that it needn’t be spoken. -

You heard right and that’s all I need to say about that.

i started off training under an experienced fuel and def driver gerald h. from augusta ga.
we met at the terminal at 06:00 am to start our day.
u had 2 wait on the day shift driver 2 text u when he was through with the truck so u could start your shift usually around 2:00 pm in the afternoon.
at that time u had to go through the regional manager for the area u were applying 2 get hired.
henry f.from augusta georgia was the regional manager set up a interview and hired me to load and deliver
def out of morrow ga terminal.
i'm sure theres been a lot of changes since then.
i loaded and delivered def 2 6 states out of morrow.
the biggest problem with gemini was slip seating, and the regional managers.
as u well know most truck drivers can't get along with their selves little alone anybody else.
loves left all decisions up 2 the regional managers and all they were concerned about was the company and their bonuses.
if u want a job with them you'll need to contact Oklahoma City and they put in touch with the RM.
good luck!Last edited by a moderator: Dec 29, 2024
