1D5D6A51-4964-4A8A-8807-6CA17B716457.jpeg I pulled out the shippers loading dock and hear a loud crash. I thought it was something within the DC. But when I went back to look, my right side trailer door was on the ground. I didn’t hit anything nor did my trailer door get snagged on anything. There no damage to the trailer door nor any signs that it snagged on anything. But, my contractor is saying it could be marked as a preventable accident. 2 years of driving with a clean MVR and this happens to ruin it. I have more pictures but I don’t like putting my contractor information out on social media.

I don't understand this situation. If the door swung out ride along the fence or was grabbed by that retaining wall post etc and torn off then its a relatively tiny detail.

They can always drop new doors in. Ive smashed doors before. it's no big deal, just tried in those days to get in the habit of eyeballing those trailer door hooks to be sure they are in placed or tied down before getting into tractor for anything.

Does the customer open the doors from inside the dock? If so, it's not on you.

Otherwise, yes, you can see cracked hinges during a pre trip provided you didn't hit something backing into the dock.
