That's just what my company said about looking at it a a law or guidance from OSHA. They will do whatever they are told to do.
I did not think the president could make an executive order for vaccine requirement. I have not ever looked to see what limits the presidential executive powers are. Never thought we have a president they would even try this. -
Thats true, but bear in mind, elds, hours of service, epa engine requirements are not the LAW, but a regulation. But go ahead and disregard those and see where it lands yougentleroger Thanks this.

See that attitude is why we have the ridiculous amount of regulations we do.Northern Nomad, Gearjammin' Penguin, Eldiablo and 1 other person Thank this.

The attitude that recognizes that the authoritarian policing arm of govt from federal down to local yokels will enforce regulations to an excessive and downright tyrannical degree despite those regulations not being technically the laws that they are supposed to be enforcing?
Yeah, me and my attitude about reality existing the way it does is certainly the problem
Agorism (yes, technically thats for laws) is fine, but do try not to get yourself tossed in the slammer over it, you do NO ONE any good theredunchues Thanks this. -
Just a heads up to anyone worried about it, farms and other small outfits could use some good drivers.
You may have to stop working for a big company but you're not without options.
This is also why I think everyone should have a trade they can use to feed themselves.
I could survive 3 months without working easily. With the skill set i learned from construction I could last as self employed for at least a year or two more with only minor inconvenience.Northern Nomad, Coffey, nredfor88 and 2 others Thank this. -
Yes, that exact attitude starting about 40 years ago is the problem.Eldiablo Thanks this.

Oh please, there is 0 correlation between what the people want and what legislation gets passed since the beginning of history, democracy is a farce because it pays lip-service to that, while those actually in power continue to do as they please occasionally doling out just enough [insert item here] (example: freedom, bread, entertainment) to keep everyone from putying their heads on pikes.
I dont disagree that heads ought to be on pikes, but im not so naive as to think that itll be a permanent fix, itll just be slightly better for a short period of time until either the new idealists become corrupted, or the old power elite seize control againSoulScream84, Gearjammin' Penguin and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -
That could be a LOOOONG time -
According to VAERS Website: The US Is Averaging 70 Deaths per Day Due to COVID Vaccine Since July 24th
Brandt, Rubber duck kw and Eldiablo Thank this. -
Assuming youre referencing the bit about liability release for vaccine makers?
That said, assuming the headline to be true, not great but also assuming cdc to not be lying (an organisation i trust as much as nworeport, which is to say not at all) covid death rate for usa is at about 1000 a day.
Both are likely to be lies in the direction of their own bias, but if 50% of people were vaccinated and that halved the death rate amongst them (50% effectivity) thats 25k killed by vaccine versus 92500 saved by vaccine. On net, sucks but still a net positive on the numbers only.
