Wait, let me see if I understand this. The Haslam family is unhappy about potentially being scammed by the contract they signed. That is ironic.

Let's see, the Haslams sign a contract to sell Pilot, take the first and second payment from Berkshire and now are complaing about the amount of the remaining value? This is from the same crooked family that got caught scamming a large group of their customers and were caught and heavily fined. Oh but wait, the Haslam's were not charged because they threw their employees under the bus and escaped that one. What a family.

Around the same time that they were scamming trucking companies off their fuel discount money that has them family purchased the Cleveland Browns..doesn’t take much of a rocket scientist to figure out that they ended up using the money they scammed to help them purchase the team

Haslams got over 10 billion dollars and they're whining about not getting enough? I guess I'll never understand the motives of the truly rich. SMH.

After you reach the point of not really needing to accumulate more wealth it becomes something like a real life Monopoly game.
One thing to remember, it's usually the wealthy people who set up educational trusts, scholarships, and fund a tremendous amount of medical research.
Granted, there are great tax write-offs available for all of that.
And another way to look at it...It ain't most people's fault they're rich, they inherited every dime they got. ;)

2 words, tax deduction. After accumulating so much wealth, they have to find something to show a loss so they don't have to donate more to the IRS goon squad
