Trucking has been dying a slow death since 1980.

Not much life in it no more. Look at the manners of today's drivers and back then. They way they dress or even walk and talk, not to mention how they drive. Amazon Prime is the example. Not long ago, I saw one of them washing his feet in a TA's bathroom sink. I pointed to him that it was inappropriate but he only grinned back.

Me thinks what most people tend to forget is the entire southwestern US was Mexico….and many folks trace their lineage in certain area ( especially along the river)back long before it was part of the US
I’ve spent years&years loadin outta those areas…and while never having troubles and makin friends along the way….never met anyone who didn’t identify as Mexican although they were actually 5-6 generation Texans

All the way up to Pueblo, Colorado, the northern end of the Santa Fe trail.

This article explains why I saw all those dual plate Mexican trucks in Nashville a couple weeks ago. I'm used to seeing them from Texas to California and sometimes up to Denver, but there were a slew of them in Nashville when I was there. That's way out of my usual range these days so it caught me by surprise.

Been going on since 2012. TPP agreement changed the shallow distance Mexico trucks could roam from border to full U.S. coverage.

All people are greedy and crooked to a degree, and that degree is how much they can get away with. Politicians are not interested in solving your problems or anyone's problems really. They are insteresred in solving their own, and they are all greedy too and get away with whatever they can.

I always laugh at this notion that people think that politicians have any interest in solving people's problems. They just want to tell you they will so you'll elect them so they can serve themselves. The very definition of greed.

The article said this has been going on for several years. Not sure the blame is in the right place.

It has been going on for years but the current administration has definitely exacerbated the situation
