Well, flammable is ok out there as long as it doesn’t consist of any bulk containers.

That thought crossed my mind. What can be done by a driver? Darwinism would be at work right? Intelligence should dictate that the thing says “flammable” in big red letters on 4 sides. If I was in my sleeper watching tv all day, some idiot still could do something careless outside like flick a cigarette and I wouldn’t know.

It's like the dot doesn't see placards when you drive by running hazmat. They see targets. They tell me often that the only reason they picked me to inspect was the hazmat. -
I’d have to agree.
For example, the MD Dept of the Environment has a “hazmat compliance unit” that works alongside the commercial vehicle enforcement division of the state police, and are trained in DOT inspections. Placards represent a prime target for a fishing expedition.IluvCATS Thanks this.
