I found what I believe is a pretty good deal for a truck and trailer. My buddy approached me and offered me this deal. It's for a 06 Volvo with a 13 speed Eaton Fuller and 48ft flatbed with all new rubber all the way around. He's selling me the package for $25,000. Now, it isn't a perfect truck, but with a little tender loving care and patience, she could be one nice ride. Also, the company I'll be leased to couldn't be owned by nicer people. I'm super excited and nervous at the same time, but I think and hope all will go well.
Sounds like a great deal. Sounds like some of you need better friends, Lol. Good Luck. Just know anything can break at anytime, once it’s yours it’s yours for better or worse.
Go ahead and try it. Get a real mechanic to look at the truck first. 25k for both truck and trailer is a steal. The engine is what I'm most worried about. When you make 2800 in a week live off 1k and hold the rest until you hit 20k cash. You need to be able to rebuild the engine and cover the mortgage. Honestly just live on 700 a week.
Get someone who knows diesel trucks to look over it before you buy. When you start making your money use what you need to use and BANK the rest of it. Make sure you always have money in the bank for rainy days.
What year is the trailer? If it's newer insurance will be more. If it's older some brokers won't use you but I just know this from dry vans. I have no idea if it applies to flatbeds. It probably doesn't but do your homework! Also, what motor in the truck?
