It's those electroluminescent dashes that lite up at all times. It used to be the telltale sign you needed headlamps was when you couldn't read your instrument panel.

Now they light up all the time.

I drive a '00 W900L going on 2 years this June. My headlights are on anytime I'm driving. I've replaced one bulb and that was from a rock ding that allowed water to get in it. Hard to say how old they actually are.

There must be a lot of 4wheelers wondering "Why is that truck blinking his markers at me?"

LED's do burn out. And as a retied electrican, I can say that the brand of bulbs you buy makes a difference. Cheap bulbs bad. Pay up and you will get your money's worth at least 90% of the time. The difference is the quality tolerances for manufacturing the bulbs.

    Just my 2¢.

Former electrician also. I've been gradually changing all my lights at home to LED's, mostly for increased quality of light, safer than CFL's, and longevity. However, I've been a little disappointed in the failure rate so far. The ones that haven't suffered an early demise will have to go about 50 years to balance advertised average.

i'm renting a Cascadia now, when the truck is up and running their are 2 amber lamps up front that are lit. I don't know how a person is supposed to travel safely in a combat zone with those lights on, make a guy huge target.
