The reason I turn my lights off has nothing to do with someone in their sleeper. If it bothers you, close your curtain.
I turn my lights off to keep from blinding other drivers who may also be driving, backing, pulling out, or setting up around me.
I'll admit it is annoying when I see drivers do this, or leave their lights on while parked.
Another thing to consider is that with many new trucks, turning the lights off while moving is not an option. Kind of annoying, but it is what it is.

Catfish food seat holders? Hmmmmmm..... I dunno.
Anyway, as long as a fella turns them headlights off once he gets parked, I'm good. I just can't stand trying to back in while with headlights shining directly into my mirrors, or into my windows. And I dang sure can't stand the stupid backup alarms. What are they supposed to do, alert everyone that a truck is backing up, so that we can all climb out of the bunk, get dressed, and move our trucks out of the way? All they really do is wake you from a good night's sleep.snowlauncher, Dye Guardian and 123.Red Beard Thank this. -
Think it's more than new drivers. Or the guys that leave their lights on while getting fuel. Every other car nowadays rides with its brights on all night.

No it is not courteous to flash high beams at someone. Especially when they're giving their mirror a good look to make sure they have clearance and then FLASH!, some moron temporarily blinds them with their high beams.MidWest_MacDaddy, JahB, TO-expo and 3 others Thank this.
