Help ASAP thrmoking blank screen.

    Yesterday everything was working, this morning try to start reefer the screen is blank, just black lines scrolling down the screen. Reefer is working, status light is OK.
    Can't set new temperature.

    there is a board behind of display. it cracks sometime.

    Checked at my best . Nothing wrong was found. Definitely board crack or wire. Couple years ago was the same problem. Lost load. After sitting weekend it start working. The worst thing now I'm in very deep s hole in NM. Nothing around to take dry. Only reefers.

    Only thing I can think to do is unplug it,look at the harness and plug it back up. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a minute?

    I,ve seen that many times. Unfortunately it's always a defective controller (HMI). Probably cost at least a grand for a new one. If you can find a non dealership shop they might be able to get a used one out of a scrap unit.
    They are not a repairable component and a new one may need the software flashloaded. They are very easy to change though. Good luck

    You can flash through cargo watch with wintrac 5 if you have the software. If it's a used HMI you probably won't have to flash it.Hook it up and try it,if it passes a running pretrip then don't worry about it.
