Same as a tandem. Then watch as the spread constantly changes it's mind on which axle to pivot on. And 90* driving forward or backing loaded, you get to experience tearing up your spindles and trailer frame.

If you want to predict it's path, and save your tires and running gear, put a dump valve on the rear axle.

It seems the tires slide more then roll on the trailer I've set up just like tandem but my trailer always seem to be to far back when I start

A valve that dumps the rear bags. Wire it to a switch on your dash. Puts the weight on the front axle. Now you can pivot on the front, and trailer behaves like a 38 footer.

Oh, boy,,,okay, that's entirely possible. The "dump" valve lets air out of one of the spread axles, so the tires don't drag. It's more of an O/O thing, and companies rarely have that option. My advice, when you get perpendicular to the dock, as close to the other trailers fronts, make a gradual radius, more than a regular tandem, if there's room, of course. You're going to grind the tires off no matter what, without a valve.

With my spread axle, I try to never lose sight of in my mirror when turning/backing. If I have lost it in the mirror, I know I'm putting massive stress on the forward spread axle and shredding the tires.

So my advice is to set up with as straight as possible back as you can. Otherwise you are going to cost your boss a ton of money in tires and trailer alignments.

But if you have a dump valve, and you are heavy, what are you doing to that forward axle as far as wear and tear or worse?

I’ve no experience with spread axle, so I’m curious as to the benefits/downsides of a dump as well. Sometimes 90 degree is inevitable.
