Help! Broker doesnt want to pay load

Also, if HE wasnt being paid by the shipper or whomever for said reason he would be calling after not having an email responded to. I suspect he was paid but might be looking for ways not to pay you......

15 posts and nobody suggested calling the US Marshalls yet?
Call the shipper and ask for a copy of the bills. You might have to pay a small fee. I will not admit to how I know that.BigBadBill, volvodriver01, mp4694330 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Actually a packing list cannot serve as a BOL because it is not a uniformed standard bill of lading according the the North American Standard. One thing you have to do when talking with a broker is ask if they accept copies or original bills of lading. If copies, no problem, but if originals, then a packing list is definitely not acceptable. You have no recourse unless you can produce a signed BOL.
