Detour to another shop. 6 hours later, new alternator...and an A/C set to ice cream mode...no compressor needed

One good thing about working for these guys. The week isn't a total loss. I get breakdown pay, equivalent to layover

Sorry GT, I kinda thought this thread had faded away LOL.

How it ended. My truck was repaired by another shop on Thursday I loaded out on Friday, was home Friday night.

Got paid for 4 days breakdown time (same as layover). Paid motel room for 3 of the 4 nights that week. A/C went out on Tuesday. I was laid over from the day before (monday) to pick up a load home

The week wasn't a total bust. With layover, the trip down, and the trip back. I still made about $800.
