I've had mine in here since July of 2014,.. they are the Interstate 1100cca deep cycle,.. I have to look at the paperwork to tell you the rest of the specs. Bought them from O'Reilys.

Like another said,.. they did not want to sell me these with warranty for commercial use plus said they were not spec'd correctly for my truck. I did not care what they said. I measured the dimensions to make sure they would physically fit and made sure the posts matched what I had. I told them exactly what I needed them for and would only buy them with the included 3 yr warranty.

At the time I did not have the generator in the truck. Only a 3000 watt (4000 watt peak) inverter to power a motel sized freezer/fridge, 800 watt microwave, coffee maker, small 2 burger sized forman grill plus a hot plate were the things I use in here.

Before I bought these batteries I got into a truck stop late one night and the only spot open that wasnt on the end or where the rookies park along the side was up in the middle and the guy on the other side had taken about 3 - 4ft of my space with the back of his trailer. So being as long as I am with my set up, my nose was sticking out a good 5 ft beyond what everyone else was. I didnt want someone to clip my nose so I left my running lights on and shut the truck off as it was a nice cool night,.. didnt need to idle.

Woke up the next morning and had to ask my neighbor for a jump start. That was with 2 yr old Deka 800cca regular batteries that came with the truck.

I have not had that problem since. I still use the inverter during the day, but I now run the generator at night and switch everything over to the house outlets at night. After I got the new batteries but before I got the generator I had no problems leaving the running lights on and everything plugged into the inverter all night.

So far these batteries are working great.

Deep cycle is sort of a misnomer, CCA is not a good way to rate a battery. Reserve capacity is a better rating to look at. What is called "deep Cycle" is usually a marketing ploy to sell high reserve capacity batteries.

I would take a battery rated CCA 650 RC 300 over a CCA 900 RC 180 every time.

I stopped in at a TA and they want $179 for 1000 CCA. Think I might wait til I get home to change them out....for that price.

I wouldn't get an autozone brand battery. Has to be heavy duty for vibrations. I look at it like this: either I pay more now or I sit on the side of the road and pay double latter.

A lot of people don't consider this but batteries are perishable. Proper battery maintenance is often overlooked. A weak set of batteries can actually trash a starter over time because a weak (lower voltage) battery causes the starter to have to draw more amps to accomplish the same amount of work. Amps=heat.

I replace mine every 3 years. if they last longer it is only by a month or so, not taking a chance. one day I decided to start truck on a sunday about noon. all batteries were dead. not a sound. lucky for me a napa dealer was the only thing open about 20 miles away, & I was loaded fri for monday delivery. looked at my book & the ole batteries were from truck pro 3 years & 2 weeks old. these current napa batteries will be 3 years old in march. watching close now though.

I am always looking to do it at home , than on the road. will test my batt this wknd with tester to get an idea of strength. probably will check the local truckpro, fleetpride my local freightliner dealer who surprisingly has a lot of times things quite a bit cheaper than truck pro when on sale. peace of mind is why I am a preventative maint guy.
