Once, upon returning from a harrowing ride in Illinois, where visibility was a foot, I as a determined company driver, slogged on, with only the side markers as a guide, eventually running out of it. When I turned in my "tattle tale" disc, he said, why were you going 20 mph for an hour? I almost punched him, but calmly walked out.

Well, pretty much the usual suspects, although no FedEx or Amazon? If I was an LEO, I'd walk along these wrecks, obtain the truck drivers license, by force if necessary, and burn them on the spot, you're done, you're walking home. I know, we go through this every winter, but a lot of reefers, southern folks may have an issue with slippery roads, I mean, what's the mindset here. It was clearly getting slick, and what, there couldn't possibly be any hazards ahead, oops, time running out, can't slow down, BAM. Werner driver to dispatch, "remember that load that needed half van, half flatbed"? Until some intervention, something that detects a slippery surface and shuts the truck down, because we can't rely on these morons. Sadly, this will go on for quite some time. Eases up around April.broke down plumber, drvrtech77 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

The speed limit is the speed limit. Always faster but, go no slower. That is the new way.

I made it to Wheatley AR years ago at sweet peas when it was still open. Ice/snow. No movement on 40. Boss said, why you stopped another guy made it.. I eased out, an empty skateboard. Told myself after I got out there just how stupid I was.. I made it to Memphis. 6.5 hours. Crawling.. idiots like me out here. Most in ditch/median. I got to place to load. The other guy was there since day before the storm hit, no one was there, couldn’t get to work, to icy.
Sat there for two days. Got loaded, finished week out and quit working for Howard Trucking after me and the boss got into it, he told me during the week I belonged to him, he could order me to do anything.
Then i told him how stupid he was in front of all his dispatchers.
I cleaned my truck out by the gate closest to the building. Where my pickup was, he had a dispatcher come out and tell me. “Danny said move your truck around back, everyone knows you and wants to know why you’re cleaning your truck out.”
I told him since he’s the messenger, tell him to go tell Danny to move it when I’m done, I don’t work here anymore.201, Gearjammin' Penguin, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this. -
