    Just joined,my husband is making a career change at 56 and as he is going to school 6 days a week I thought that I could do some investigating for him so that he does not end up regretting taking a job that he will regret.I am great flu for this site ,very educational.

    Tell your husband to get all the endorsements plus TWIC and a passport. Depending on your city/state, he may be able to get a good tanker job making $55K - $65K per year right out of CDL school. Ask more questions on the "Questions from new Drivers" thread. If he doesn't want tanker, then maybe a good flatbed company making $50K. Tanker work is easy though.

    After much thought I have decided to get out of construction and join my husband OTR, I feel we can work our $$$es off and sock away the $$$.The kids are grown and we do not own a home, just a house and garage full of stuff. Time to put the necessary stuff in storage and take care of us.He is in school and I just signed up today, any thoughts on good team companies for newbies would be helpful. Thanks so much.
    BTW I am Paintalot just can't figure out how to change that.
