Settlement agreement looks like another ripoff. Each class member is estimated to receive a whopping 58 dollars.

I just received a postcard for that and looked it up (finding your inquiry) and also found the following link that lays out court documents from the lawsuit:

$58 definitely doesn't do justice for any damage HireRight may have caused to people's possible future, but it's good to know that someone took action against them.CrazyPATrucker, RERM and JReding Thank this.

Well that explains I wasnt the only one. I was trying too figure it out. If anything It will be in the mail burn pile by the end of the month.

Class action suits always pay very little to the class. The attorneys make the money. However, the purpose of the lawsuit is not to make you rich but to punish the company that is doing wrong to the class.
Sometimes they only ask for a Dollar. The jury gives them the Dollar but the lawyers still get paid.
Hire Rite has damaged lots of us but none of us have been damaged enough to make it worth our while to hire and attorney and go after them on our own. So, take the $58 and smile all the way to the bank.JimmyWells, rank, Studebaker Hawk and 8 others Thank this. -
Hasn't Hireright been sued at least once before? If I recall they forked over millions?
-
They may end up paying a couple million total.Bean Jr. and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I just got mine in the mail. I received an envelope with a small packet to read through and I also received a post card.
It says individual settlements will be capped at $200.00 and you must respond by August 9th 2016.
It also says Hireright is providing $460,000 to be distributed to members of the class who respond by the above date with properly filled out paperwork.Mudguppy, rocknroll81, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'd like to dedicate this to Hireright & all the POS that lied to them on any of us.
Don't you hear no evil,
Don't you speak no evil,
Don't you lay no evil, down on me..................
HalpinUout Thanks this.
