Someone could gift you a used truck for free and you'd hardly afford to keep it running in the current economy. I agree, leasing a truck is a really bad idea right now. Why pay a company to drive their truck when you can work for them directly and owe them nothing?

 

Some people would willingly go through the sharecropping just to feel like they are a step above the company driver I've never been interested in it myself

 

I have 750 acres that I share lease to a farmer that grows soy andcorn, works for me. I own the land, he works the land and sends me a check.
