Heck, at my current job we've had one driver roll over the truck and trailer and is still working there. It literately is 100% dependent on not only the company, but the guy in charge of making that decision.

Hey man #### happens. Look at it this way, you drive tens of thousands of miles a year. If all you hit in 10 years is one little pole then you're doing a #### good job. Companies that actually have compassion for their drivers understand this kind of stuff. Hell, I made a 1,700 mile round trip and literally 3/4 of a mile from my work a car failed to yield a left turn right in front of me and smashed into the tandems of my tanker (if I wouldn't have steered right I would've killed them). My boss said not to worry and said these things happen. Just be honest, take pictures, and apologize for what happened. That's all you can do

I agree with the previous posters. One thing at a time. I've had incidents in the past and kept jobs.

Last year at my company we had a rookie total his truck. He is still working here too. I joked with him the other day and told him he only has two more years before he can look for another job.

yes, you are wrong. an accident is an accident when ever it happens. you have to look at it another way, that place may have cameras, or an eye witness, and you drove off....

    doesn't make you look good.
