That’s brutal. Did you get it on camera?

I think it goes way back to when people weren’t much different than birds or fish. Some deep seated thing in peoples brains. Gotta bunch up.

I go out of my way to distance my self from everybody.

Hope you get your truck fixed quick.

Sorry to hear about all of that. I hope they straighten it out soon for you.

What kind of a camera system do you have? I would like to install that type of a setup on my truck.

I think social media and speed of communication has shed more light on parking lot accidents. Doubt it’s more now then before.

    with that said.

I stopped parking at truck stops for this reason.

When I am in that particular truck stop, I always use the back lot by the Beacon. All pull thru spots. Those on the rear corner and all the ones up front just seem awkward and tight...besides, my fat butt could use the exercise walking in from the back lot (along with the adrenaline rush from playing human 'frogger' dodging all the speeding lunatics racing to their parking spot)

I agree with this logic. You can usually assume that truck stop will be packed full by the middle of the night. I would always park next to someone to not leave both sides of my truck exposed. But then, I was always a good neighbor, no loud music or flying pee jugs, never hit anyone, etc.

I always try to park next someone can’t stand the guy who parks in the middle. He makes it more difficult and dangerous for the next guy. Also can’t understand hitting someone on the sight side, what the frick was the driver looking at?

There is a such thing as hit and not run?

And this in itself is why you're more likely to get hit.
Just the opposite, I'll seek out a space between two trucks for two reasons:
    1) I know I can back between two trucks because I am careful & experienced. Its not too likely that I'm going to bump the next guy. I trust myself way more to back in next to someone, than the other guys trying to back in next to me.
    2) if I back between two trucks, both sides of me are occupied & that less experienced guy is going to have to find somewhere else to get... not by me.

That Petro place is so huge that I thought the reserve parking did not even exist...what's the point, there's always an empty spot?
They even have a shuttle cruising around.
If someone gets hit so often, even in a unhitable place like that....hmm...maybe the Truckin' Gods are sore at them for something.
