Im owner o/op. was purely by choice to stay out that long. Was trying to get my truck paid off and successful with it. Im 26 no kids no wife no bills. Just making money enjoying life. But yeah i stayed in the truck for the most part. Get a hotel room every couple months just to get out the truck. All regional stuff running the same loads everyday working with the same people. Not sure i could do otr for that long. Id go crazyInTooDeep, dwells40, supergreatguy and 11 others Thank this.

That’s awesome you accomplished that at such a young age. I was still drinking heavily till closing time and puking all over town till at least 30-31. Couldn’t let the party go. Fast forward 10 years and I’m like an old man. Only leave the house to work. Complain about everything lol.
Speedy356, austinmike, supergreatguy and 9 others Thank this. -
I don’t know if they still offer it, but JB Hunt used to have a deal where you stayed out for 9 months and then was off for 12 paid weeks.

Ok lol - she was a recovering crackhead for starters. Apparently at one time they drove team. She was a white lady but spoke fluent spanish because at one point he took her to Mexico, where he was from, and dropped her off and left her there, supposedly in an attempt to get her off crack.. So she learned spanish .
I went to an NA meeting with her at one point. She was a nice lady. The End -dwells40, Speed_Drums, Frank Speak and 1 other person Thank this. -

I did it last year, to work in the Pacific Northwest. I was hoping while I was out there I would find my forever home company. I didn't, but I did learn I can live in a truck, but I won't anymore.dwells40, Speed_Drums, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this.
