Honest question - Why does reefer pay more than dry van?

    lst time i looked at wally. they wanted 5 years with previous employer. spotless driving record.

    last time i looked at fed ex. they wanted 20/20 vision.

    Also pulling reefers you dont have that much time to relax,need to be there quick,running legal,with dry they give you more time to deliver,sometimes.

    My Advice,wait till you have at least a yearexp prefferably 2 years.

    This is what I dont like about dry. I have a family and plan on busting my ### while away otherwise whats the point in being away ya know.

    Really depends on where u r on the freight rate on van. Sometimes it pays more per mile than reefer. Right place, right time, and doing ur homework is how u find them. Take care. Be safe out there drivers.

    Boils down to liability. It's a lot easier to catch a claim on a load of spoiled lettuce, then a load of Pop Tarts. Higher liability equals higher rate. Simple math.
