Mercer reports to FMCSA on a MCS-150 what their fleet size is, that's the number I used, like it or not, that's what they reported! I would assume the info the supplied the federal government is pretty accurate. Argue with me all you want & call whoever you want, I got my info from a pretty reliable source as well, it wasn't thought up.

Last time I checked 2600 is higher than 2470, that would mean at one point in time there was growth. If you actually took the time to read what was written rather than commenting cause you saw my name, you would know exactly how I got to the numbers I got to at that time, and more importantly why I put them here! I put them on here to prove to people like you, that perhaps people were struggling due to the influx of trucks, not because they didn't get the system. If you have a influx of trucks, without a influx of freight, you have less freight for the trucks you have.

Vanqtransport, the MCs 150 isn't filed on a monthly basis, its updated once a year. Same as anyone with authority. I called today and told them why I wanted to clarify. But in reality still the fleet at 2600 isn't really that big of a fluctuation from 2400. Certainly not enough to cause masses of people to be sitting just for the reason of two many trucks. Especially since the open deck numbers changed very little. That's my only point , any slowness experienced wasn't because of some massive influx of trucks. I got figures directly from Mercer in the office. Actually I was surprised at the consistency of the numbers over such a period

100 trucks isn't an influx, but that increase was vastly van. Open deck was virtually unchanged. Also how is it some of us haven't had such slowdowns, knowing certain things about the load system, will most certainly help you.

And again I will say the biggest factor is the guy who looks back at you in the mirror

So less than 5 percent growth in fleet size caused everyone to be sitting with no load choices. Is that really the arguement here?

The biggest factor is your position number. The guy in the mirror ain't in control of that. If Mercer were 100% free market, pick your load company, then the guy in the mirror matters. Your system isn't complex Skateboard, you've said how you run many times over. Your words "don't take loads you have no shot at getting, take loads you can get", you summed up by saying take cheap heavy loads.

We can end all the man in the mirror, and working the system garbage right here. Are you up for the challenge? Lets get on the board and pick a load, then after you pick the load, I'll match to it, I bet your number goes up. Would that be the man in the mirror or just your position making your number go up? It doesn't matter how much you think you control this system, your only as good as your next position number. You can commit to as much garbage as you want to stay running, but if I'm ahead of you, i'll get the garbage before you.

Further, you don't take loads into FL if your in control. I know you tried to spin that one by saying the rate justified it, but the reality is, your position number lead you there, your position number got you out, especially out at $1.88. Do I actually think those 11 other trucks passed on that $1.88, do I think you worked the board to get it, nope I don't, I think you lined up with it.

Sure we'll use his numbers! Take a full glass of water, now add 5%. Now you got a mess to clean up!

I used your number of 2600 and compared it to the 2470. A growth of 130 trucks. Just under 5 percent.
