There is no way to prove a negative and as long as you insist on stating there is a safe haven regulation in regards to HOS then it's on you to prove it. Otherwise it's not there.

Once again, look at that lawsuit against Werner down in Texas, it doesn't matter if you're good on your logs and driving perfectly safe, you're involved in an accident with a truck they're going to come after you and some idiot somewhere will think you were in the wrong.

Someday you're going to be very disappointed in yourself when you discover that you were wrong this entire time

The FAA does not investigate aircraft incidents or crashes. They are a regulatory agency only. It is the NTSB that does this. I too am a Private pilot, single engine instrument rated. A pilot's logbook is not used in the same way a truck drivers is. The Pilots logbook is used for currency purposes. Example, if time has passed since your last flight before you can carry passengers you have to do some touch and go's. Then note this in the logbook. Bi-annuals also. For a none commercial pilot, you don't even have to log flights.

A truck drivers log is a totally different animal.

I understand where you are going. Ive read many NTSB reports both air and ground accidents (One involving a steam tourist line near Gettysburg that exposed some damning practices)

Ive had accidents before. Wipe out a car bang and knock people about but thankfully no lasting harm or death done. That's really important. Lawsuits certainly. Been there done that. But for example T boning a Bus and killing say 20 kids and maiming the other 20 for life. You can bet the Feds on down would be all over it. The company boss might as well have a drink and close up that day when I call in and say I took out a bus and hurt and killed many kids.

You follow me? I'll do whatever I can not to hit that bus even if it kills me. It would be a mess anyway.

Trucking once was a wonderful thing to do in life and you did not have the mental pressure of regulations today then. (You had some but nothing like now) and this computer age just speeds it up and makes a mountain out of a mole hill in a hurry of any violation at all. All recorded to the Nth degree inside your trucks own computers at roadside.

I just want to drive a truck, deliver good things people want in life. I do not want to spend that life having learned how to workaround every possible roadside inspection or enforcement scenario. I am already doing that with my doctors who also have done with against our state intent on eliminating that type of treatment entirely. When I sit with the pain doctor now this month, I am not talking patient doctor secret things in relationship. Those days are gone forever. The state is sitting in the corner invisible. They decided what the doctor will and will not do already. There are 4 panels of questions such as COMM1, sossa and others specifically designed to detect non compliant patients with their own words. I have already arrived aware of these panels, the matrix of questions and know exactly what not to say to ensure the visit is very short and there is no problem. (There isnt. Not for them.... big problems go to ER, we fix it there.)

Imagine such a thing in trucking. It's already there in the computer inside your truck. "What time did you get to that truck stop sir? "Oh, round about midnight. End of my 70 sir" then they look at the computer and gawdalmighty your 70 expired 10 minutes to midnight, you are fixing to be written up for violating the 70 and put out of service and so on.

There is no room anymore for life and all the little things that can happen (Good and bad) that throws a wrench into everything we do. Im about sick of it.

Yes, me too. However, I am smart enough to never attempt to prove a negative.

Look ma'am, I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I get the idea that you just like to argue. I was just pointing out that there are safe haven provisions...you say there isnt. Lady, you're wrong. Sorry.

A guy actually. And sorry, but untill you can prove there is one you are the incorrect one in this conversation. Just saying it's there does not prove it. All the laws and regs are on-line Here is the link for the HOS regs. eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations

And again, there is no way to prove a negative. It's up to you to prove there is a regulation as pertains to safe haven and HOS.

The title of the thread is HOS Violations but you seem to want to insist on bringing apples to this orange party. Safe Haven has nothing to do with HOS.
