I hate politics so much. We’ve reached a compromise. They’re ignoring me and I’m sitting in a hot truck in Georgia. I don’t mind because I’m fasting. And if I can wait until Thursday at least the most they’ll be able to steal from me is 475 miles. Know any great companies hiring in a down economy for a guy with limited experience? I have a list of about a dozen mediocre companies that might.
How do I play this game?

Western Express is essentially the number one second chance company out there, so best luck to you.
You were given an early chance to gut out a bad situation and you quit. Air conditioning breaks, heaters break, stuff goes wrong. Welcome to trucking.
And even if you lose $3000 it's less than what WE has spent training you and putting you in a truck. So let's stop pretending you're being robbed.
While I appreciate your levity, it's also confounding. The best thing you can do is bury the hatchet with WE before it's too late, apologize for being a pain in the butt noob, and grind it out for a year.
But it sounds like you've already strapped yourself to the bomb, so yee haw.austinmike and Chi Town Steers Thank this. -
You don't seem to have your head up Western Expresses ### too much. Carry on.mjd4277, Bean Jr., Sirscrapntruckalot and 2 others Thank this.

I'm saying WE because the OP has made no secret that they're the company he cast his lot with. If it was Swift or Werner or KLLM I'd have referenced them, instead. I don't know what to tell ya, FTC, guess you won't pick me for your kickball team austinmike and Chi Town Steers Thank this.

Lose $3000 and work 3 months for free. They spent approximately $4.20 on training. They might lie and say it’s more, but it’s definitely not.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Okay I got ya. But in my part of the world we play football, not kickball. Sounds kinda poncy, but whatever.mjd4277, austinmike and Chi Town Steers Thank this.

Talk to current drivers at those companies and choose which of those companies are currently providing what you need? Unless the people giving you advice are CURRENTLY working at the companies they suggest, everyone's info is out of date. When many drivers are not getting miles it is especially important to know "how many miles did you Driver A, get paid for last week?" How things were in 1997 or some driver went to work at ABC Trucking and you never heard from him again isn't useful info.
I think you intend to live in the truck. My recommendations were in the Nashville area and get home on weekends. I'd recommend Averitt Express, Venture Express/Logistics, Old Dominion, Saia, Estes. I retired a couple of years ago, so my info was only fresh until then. Please ask the company recruiter or representative to have a few current drivers for that company contact you so you can ask them questions.hope not dumb twucker and Chi Town Steers Thank this.
