You might also investigate Nationwide Express, Titan Transfer in Shelbyville, TN. Nationwide I have personal experience with many years ago. Titan's reputation is run hard, run some more. I never worked there. Big G is another Company. I never worked for them, my brother did, many years ago. They run/ran hard. They run up and down I-81 back and forth and back and forth, plus going other places. All of these companies have good equipment and shops on site. I don't know how they feel about a driver living in the truck. Ask them.
How do I play this game?

4wayflashers and tscottme Thank this. -
I forgot about Nationwide switching over to roll-offs & warehousing. I didn't know about Jones buying them. Yeah I was there in the 90s when the Coffeys were running the place. Loved my dispatcher. The yard was still gravel.
I then worked for Goggin Truck Lines. Goggin was TN's oldest truck lin. They had a model A looking truck with wagon wheels in the building. They started with horses. I really loved them. OD bought them. Now just the warehousing & cold storage remains if them. Both companies were fair & honest with me.
Thanks for the update.rollin coal Thanks this. -
Nationwide always had warehousing. I guess they still warehouse the new glass bottles for Jack Daniel's in Shelbyville and the toilet paper/paper towels for Kimberly Clark in Loudon? Not sure what they did with the Statesville warehouse. I did well there and they were/are good people.
Yeah I remember Goggin. Like you say they're doing cold chain now. Probably not a bad outfit to work for either.tscottme Thanks this. -
It wont be long before their preferred drivers will all be heading south for the winter anyway. That’s how it was at the mega I was at anyway.
Whatever you do stay out of Florida/ Tampa when hurricane Milton rips across florida.
If youre living in the truck maybe take hometime in Wisconsin or Maine or somewhere less hot. You’ll probably need a jacket.
Just thinking out of the box but ideally you would get your AC fixed or probably better find a better company but AC season is nearly over for most of the country.
hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
