DETROIT, MI — A photo shared by Detroit police speaks volumes, showing a row of tractor-trailer trucks lining a roadway to help a suicidal man.
According to WDIV, a suicidal man threatened to jump from the I-696 overpass early Tuesday morning, which prompted police to call the truck drivers to pull under the bridge to shorten the man’s fall, should he jump.
The man didn’t jump, but a photo of the trucks lined up has gone viral after it was tweeted by Michigan police.

It's on duty not driving.
IluvCATS, rabbiporkchop, RedForeman and 1 other person Thank this. -
What if their clocks run out under the bridge? Can they move? Seems like that would be illegal. Is this something they could have "planned" for?
Oxbow Thanks this. -

This is a tough one. Public road. But, public road shut down. As we know, a commercial driver may log Off Duty in a parked commercial vehicle.
But these drivers have to remain in readiness to move their vehicles from the public road when it opens back up. So, therefore should be logged On Duty.
I suppose if one jumped in the sleeper berth then they could just log Sleeper. -
So there's no way to "plan" for stuff like this k got it
