Of the two, I would choose Schneider. Both are relatively new to the intermodal scene but I believe Schneider has more experience and is probably a better company to work for; my opinion, of course.

If a mom & pop company is willing to train you, generally a weeks worth will be sufficient enough to at-least get the basic understanding of the rails.... Seriously, stay away from those companies. I've heard that JB Hunt is pretty OK if your leasing on with your truck but thats about it.

4 reasons why i wouldnt let rookies do intermodal things like this neeed people with experience a front pin not in a locked position and a rookie trying rushing it can cause an accident and in this sector of the trucking industry 1/2 hour pretrip is more important even when you are tired and you just want to grab the next load and hit the road do a pretrip put a timer if you need to, im going to see if i figure a way out to download them straight to the page and add more of the nonsense i see -
