Contrary to popular opinion, I'm not as dumb as I act! :biggrin_25523:

I've been a flight instructor for over 10yrs, when I learned to fly multi-engine aircraft my school did the same thing, put 2 newbs in a plane and said fly all over the country with no instructor, I didn't think that was the best way to learn either...We scared ourselves so bad we were constantly replacing the seats due to the chunks our azzes were biting out of them during the serious pucker factor situations we found ourselves in...

I don't think you are dumb at all.. I just think you are very new and very green. Take alot of the negative comments on here you are getting and look for the truth in them.. because I haven't seen you make a FALSE statement just a few uninformed ones.. and the guys being negative have been honest just not in a very nice way my friend..

I'm trying harder to look at what they're saying, not how they're saying it...I do want to learn which is why I keep asking questions...

You do get alot of the guys on here hot in the head walstib but I enjoy reading your threads, never boring hahaha. I agree on the whole training thing that and the pay is the reason I didn't go with Watkins Shephard. I figure Schneider runs alot of freight out of here so I'm sending in my app with them. Hopefully two weeks will be enough if not i'm sure they won't let me go if they don't think i'm ready. Although I haven't had experience driving over here in the states I've drove some pretty interesting roads in Iraq with a tanker. Fun stuff especially when your convoy leader gets lost then tells you to turn around hahaha.

Unless I find something local after I get my license, Schneider will be where I go...

Run the road to start... Local is just asking for problems.. You run the same roads daily you see the same stuff.. and you get complacent.. Regional is ok local not so much.

I should have been more clear, there are many small companies right around me that run OTR...They're just based here...I actually had no idea they were here until we were doing our roadwork and passed by them, most with signs looking for CDL drivers for OTR and 2 that the instructor said come by the school every now and then so he was pretty sure they took recent grads...
