Somewhere on the open freeway where it's easy to pass, I don't care how slow you drive.
If you are in the busy area, stay with the traffic flow.
I absolutely hate the 9mpg club people driving 10mph below speed limit in the middle lane. Everyone starts going around them and it creates way too many dangerous situationsSavor the Flavor, nredfor88, TokyoJoe and 8 others Thank this. -
Also, creating traffic in the process. Some of the local guys in Chicago do it...drives me nuts.
-
Couldn't of said it better. On the 4 lanes in jersey you'll have all the idiots in the 2 middle lanes going 55 in a 65Roger McG Thanks this.

This is the speed variation cited in the studies.
The other traffic tries to move around the slow vehicle, creating a tight bunched group of vehicles. Most of these vehicles will take very high risk maneuvers to get around the slower vehicle. This is what causes the collisions.Savor the Flavor, nredfor88 and Magoo1968 Thank this. -
But but KR says it’s their fault not yours for driving way too slow . I’ll drive for fuel economy but if it’s causing issues I bump my speed up it’s the right thing to do IMOD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

If you’re doing the speed limit fine. If you’re in one of those 65 (or less) trucks that can’t go the speed limit, move out of the way when someone comes up on you. It’s called common courtesy.TokyoJoe, Cowboyrich, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this.

Wouldn't that be nice...LOL
Seems like common courtesy left this industry a long, long time ago. Just keeps getting worse.Trucker61016, NavigatorWife, Roger McG and 2 others Thank this. -
