park at the Quick Trip.......or go down the road another 10 miles or so to Wildwood and there's a Pilot that holds about 10 trucks......Pilot will always be a no go, but there's another truckstop across the road that isn't listed. Almost always a place to park there.

Easy does it. I see guys trying to speed thru the backing maneuvers like it's a sign of "real trucker" bs. Slow down, think it thru. You will look better at the end, trust me.

I always had a hard time backing into uphill spots because the truck would jack all up and down when feathering the clutch. Figured i sucked.

Well yesterday i got redeemed a little when the clutch scattered the hub damper and locked up. Pulling out from parallel parking was fun with in gear live starts but i made it to my drop and back to base without clutch. I gotta pull trans monday.

Hopefully it was the clutch making me look dumb.

I will back quickly if it's a clean, straight back, and I am blocking traffic. Otherwise, slow walking pace.

If I can park in between two other trucks I will. It virtually guarantees I will not get hit. Then in the morning at least one of them is gone, making it child's play to get out.

Plus it allows me to hone my skills so when I go to the "you want it WHERE?" customers life is just a little easier.

It also leaves the easy spot for those who need it.

Fair enough. I can respect that even if I won't do it that way.

When I park I try avoid the armadillos. They have no manners.

Batting practice... I think parking is something that requires concentration and work.
