    He didn't bother to fill in the origin and destination sections. That would be a form and manner violation if an inspector bothered to check these things anymore.

    No it wouldn't. Origin and destination are NOT required fields under the FMCSA regulations.

    Thanks - looks easy.

    I was considering this as Landstar allows it as an option, and my expensive Qualcomm has me concerned as to its longevity.

    Good on you for taking the initiative to look it up! It never ceases to amaze me how many people won't. You've got to know the rules of the game you're playing before you can bend 'em in your favor, and as long as you're playing by someone else's rules, you're playing by their interpretation bent to their favor.
