Yeah, they said a week of training, maybe a little next week too depending on how I do. I know that oh lord feeling from flatbed, called my trainer a lot at first. I know I don't know anything, so that helps, no shame in asking for help.

Yea in tanking I'm not ashamed to admit I had to call a couple times. I usually already had come up with the best plan of action but I wasn't taking no chances. I'm still rookie so I still got my numbers handy if need em

Today is my last Monday as a local driver. Didn't work out for me. But I'm getting a second chance with my previous employer so I'm happy.

    Two things.

Eggshell on your foot above the hammer.

Fluid dynamics will take you to school. Remember playing waves in the bathtub? Same thing only it weights more than your rig did empty.

    Enjoy this time.

Bad day today back rear went south, was doing my weekly inspection yesterday back rear had about a half inch of play , pulled plugs mega metal. Glad I caught it before it blew up on the road.

Ended up doing paperwork most of the day, then went for a road test around town with an empty. Weird seeing a tanker back there instead of a flatbed. I hadn't driven a big truck since just before last Thanksgiving, so it's been about 18 weeks. I was heavy on the brakes at first (embarrassing) but it came back pretty quick and I didn't hit anything. Even managed a roundabout without putting any wheels up on the curbs, and remembered how to back. I passed, so that's good. It wasn't as bad as I had feared.

So tomorrow is the first trip, not sure if I'm driving any or not.
