    More dependent on use case I suppose. The other fringe benefit I see is that you have more padding for ad hoc changes. An 825 score has more points available to lose, so in an exigent circumstance, you can put out more applications or consume a little more utilization and still retain an excellent rating.

    Your guidance counselor did you wrong. You should have been a financial advisor. My credit score is stuck at 812 since last year. No matter what I pay off it will not move up. On the plus side it's not going down either.
