I’ve had one like that before. I like the ones that would leave you sitting for hours, bring you 53’s with the axles slid all the way back, no ID placards with bulk hazmat on board, and the best is when you find the pintle hook not even locked.![]()

Magnum and R&L put their drivers in Pete's. Dayton has some KWs. ABF has Macks. Most other companies are going to put you in a Freightliner, International, or Volvo.
ODFL has a few Petes too I think
I just assume that companies who fork over for Pete's are going to be more up on maintenance but I have no idea really.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 28, 2023

Like bro... I would've put hands on that guy if I wouldn't get fired. Then when I see him he's always looking confused. One time he pulled up without the paperwork to a haz load. I'm like bro how you don't have the paperwork.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this.

Reminds me when I did a weekend run and relay guy hands me the Hazmat paperwork with placards required but trailer has no placards.

Then he tells me he couldn’t find them.

Good thing I always had extras.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
Reminds me of running in Montana. Poison mixed with food (per paperwork) and a different placard per side (with no paperwork). I finally realized why my coworkers suggested to quit clearing the accumulated snow off of the placards when I did a safety stop.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this.

We had a guy leave the yard fully knowing that he needed placards. Said he was trying to make gate so he would stop at a truckstop and grab some. Idiot needed "Dangerous When Wet" with un #'s. He stopped about 50 miles from the center. Had to call the ops manager to bring him some.
Some people you just can't help.Speedy356, road_runner and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Well, technically, the placards should have been on the trailer as soon as the shipment was loaded. Jus sayin

Perhaps, but in the real world no dockhand anywhere on the face of the earth is going to get off his forklift to go outside and put placards on a trailer.road_runner, Cardfan89, Opus and 1 other person Thank this.
