    Well congratulations.
    Is that an average of about 2200 miles per week?

    Personally ( and I see your post BigDon), we hold out the highest rate and then get the tax refund, with the 2 of us claiming daily DOT per diem, it usually runs 9-12k for a refund.

    Matter of choice, I just like knowing for sure they'll be no check to write to Uncle Sam.

    Actually it's w4 not w2. You get a w2 at the end of the year for tax filing. The more dependents he claims the less they hold out on fed taxes only. Be careful about claiming too many because you may owe at the end of the year unless you can itemize and claim more than the standard deduction.
