Id be in big trouble if I had to maintain 7.5mpg or higher. In my almost 3 years of trucking I doubt I've ever gotten over 7.

I average 5 in this day cab even with long distance runs.

 

The one positive is that speeding tickets are probably nonexistent with Prime drivers. Am I correct?

 

Why is this in experienced truckers advice?

 

I get between 7.7 and 8.6 with this Volvo of mine

 

"Driving" is cheating.

 

They, along with other governed companies, still get plenty of speeding tickets in work zones (I suspect more than they would if ungoverned).
