What kind of waiver you're talking about here?

    Superload/Oversize loads, permits not needed.
I was instructed to use the phone number if i was detained by local police, the NJSP already knew about the waiver and in some instances escorted some Superload moves that were time sensitive.
Most local police don't know the rules or permit process with Superloads in New Jersey, but most know it has to be done during daylight hours, but sandy moves were done 24/7.

Their will be lot of loads of building material going in to damaged areas, but remember there will be a lot of competition for loads going out of these areas.

IF that drywall mill in Plant City did not blow away completely you can load after the storm. If they can still get the Gypsum delivered to make it at all.

Don't worry about trucking and storms. It's usually a bonanza of freight all around. Weeds out the weak and lazy in a short order.

    I've been staying clear.

Problem is,.. its going to pay good going into Houston or areas of Fla. But then you will have 600 - 1200 trucks all like you, looking for a load paying to head out.

Look on the load boards right now for loads out of Houston or parts of Fla. I dont see it being profitable for me unless the load paid enough to dead head back.

That and right now,.. many parts of Fla still dont have power.

Rates have already gone up considerably but if you don't raise your rates it won't help you.
If you don't know what you are doing the broker will just be making a lot more.
