Husband and wife team starting with R&L Carriers

Applied a couple months ago, always got VM when I called to check status, never a return call.

 

Yeah i applied twice in the past few weeks idk why but they wont hire me for some strange reason.. it said under consideration then it said not retained twice in the past few weeks
. The jobs were posted just a few dahs before i reapplied so i dont think the links were expired at all.. idk..

 

Yeah i have all my endorsement. Like i said earlier message i went through orientation back in November 22 i technically was hired on did my rl University and road test and ride with a driver got a check and everything.. but the question where it says have you had an accident or ticket within the past 3yrs at that time it hadn't been 3yrs since i got it so i answered truthfully too the question.. but i fought the ticket and got it reduced too a non moving violation and there wasn't anything on my driving record or csa score they couldn't find anything they wanted me too present the copy of the original ticket and what it got reduced too showed them all of that evidence so i thought we were in the clear.

Buy hr said rl carriers holds you accountable for the original offense not what it got reduced too so i got into a slight argument with the hr lady and said so now yahll are above the law even though the original charges were acquitted? She said yes basically so i hung up and talked too the terminal manager he said he could maybe smooth things out it shouldn't be a problem.. so i basically too save my cdl i sent an email that i didnt except the job position at this time.. i was worried rl was gunna put termination on my record so if i applied for a different job then they would question me why i got terminated and i would have too present all this evidence over again..

This ticket hasn't been a problem for me in 3yrs since i got it because it never went on my record. I was caught off guard this time around so i didnt know how too feel.. but i put feelings aside too reapply and give them a second chance too make it right ✅️.. so idk i left a voice message too the terminal manager at Atlanta but never got a call back. So idk what too do i guess just let it be what it is or keep trying i just dont know..

Maybe ill keep calling till i talk too the terminal manager .

 

I done did tell you the R&l cult had three ways of doing things. The right way, the wrong way and THE R&L WAY! so you argued with the HR lady and don’t know why you didn’t get hired?!?? LOL LOL!

FYI, the SCM (correct R&L term for what you call terminal manager) position in R&L’s cult culture have very little real power. They are beholden to regional management and those Ensconced in the halls of the Great Emerald Palace. So if you stepped on toes of an Emerald Palace Lackey, you’re pretty much screwed and the SCM can’t do much about it.

Yeah i believe you thanks for the knowledge and wisdom take care.. i just wish other ltl companies would allow our cat we take her with us but i may need too find someone too watch our cat or i may just go solo instead and have my wife retire. Ill figure it out soon enough it will all work out one way or another. But hope all is well with you thanks for your help.

 

Well given this response I will apologize for the level of sarcasm in my reply as well. At one point you had simply said that I didn’t like the company and it was a bit terse which is not the case r&l does have its good points but they do certainly have their own way of doing things. Case in point is when electronic logs became mandated rather than just use off-the-shelf technologyR&L was insistent that it’s IT department develop its own ELD. Now some may say that’s a good thing but it caused 6 to 8 months of turmoil and utter confusion and delays that were completely uncalled for. they eventually worked it out but The whole process embodied the R&L way of doing things. There are many there especially in the older terminals that truly do think they are superior to others I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you best of luck in your future endeavors
