He landed in a mega carrier because Obamacare is way too expensive. He originally drove an ELD exempt truck for the company that I manage(small o/o with only 3 trucks). We had to find a company that paid okay benefits and a retirement. Also, His e-log was not able to be edited, the manager even tried and was not able to do it. The company has something blocked I am guessing-so they wrote him up. The FMCSA ELD AND HOS supporting documents of April 2019 states that the driver can do some editing. He may be leaving anyway because they are changing all the line haul drivers to mileage pay instead of hourly pay soon. It is short hops between terminals. Lots of work for no money, always will have to fuel the truck on his own time. Not worth it. It will be time to move on.
