Easy, Canuck. I'm treated more like a human here at Swift than I ever was at Prime.

But I second the idea of just running solo as a company driver. If you want to make a little extra dough and you are interested in actually teaching then look into mentoring. After having met you, I believe you may have the right temperament for it. You will have to wait until 6 months past that accident, but that will give you time to get back into a routine.

But as for teaming with another O/O or L/O, I would think long and hard about placing yourself at the mercy of someone like that again. Just my two pennies worth.

scottie, you have been given very good advice, heed it. that 6000 miles at .22 comes up to what 1340 a week and on a 1099 with no taxes taken. with you not being the owner all ya got for deductions is 59 a day meal expense for every day away from home( and only 80 per cent that can be claimed) and other expenses such as work clothes etc. wanna bet that 3000 miles at 36 cents with taxes taken isnt a better deal for you. from your posts of what you have made so far the potential theory is shot to hades and back.

scottie , you are of limited experience right now and your bullcrap meter isnt fully developed. listen to the advice given here, as i said before you were given all the signs and drove right past them.

Well, like I said the whole purpose of the thread was to relate what has happened to me and hopefully someone coming along reading this can learn from my mistakes and save themselves some unneeded stress. \\

Talked to my old DM today and she said I can come back with no problems, may have to wait for a truck as they have 20 people already waiting.

Sorry things went wrong for you on this deal Scottied. FWIW I think you are making the right move now, going back to solo company driver. There is much less financial risk.
