I feel guilty about the noise, but oh well.

I liked to pull the weed burner along side the mega fleeters..

That usually got rid of them pretty quick.

With most of the trucks idling anyway not sure why a reefer motor would be all that different. Unless its an older engine, most of the newer fridge motors have the whisper version and should not bother to many folks.

    GREETINGS BrandonT28,

IF You are to "feel guilty" about Your Reefer "disturbing the Serene Sanctity of Truck Drivers, Frogs, Dogs, Cattle, as well disoriented Truck Stop Staff, U.F.O.'s, You should/shall Learn To Rest Easy, Don't Stay In Truck, Don't Pull A Reefer, go back to Swimming For Dollars or Picking Daffodils In The Sunshine With Flowers In Your Hair".

I pulled a Reefer some FEW Times and not Long Haul, just Local Turns. NO Overnights. Every time, rolling, when the Reefer engaged, the Combo swerved a bit.
Some Twuck Slops, I had ZERO options about Parking and too tired to care, so, when "offered", I parked next to an Active Reefer.
Oh the Shame of it all.
How mortifying to tell people I had to settle next to a Reefer.
It's worse than parking next to a Cattle Truck, doncha kno!!

You're only Bothering Yourself With Such "worrisome Non-Concerns"!!
There are FAR WORSE THINGS IN TRUCKING than "worried one is bothering another with Reefer noise"!!

    CHEERS!!

One time, on hometime my wife was sleeping beside me and I started shaking all over, she thought i was going into convulsions or something so she shook me awake, I looked at her dead in the eye and said "Don't worry it's just the APU kicking on" and went right back to sleep. I still don't remember saying it.

That’s brilliant. Let’s add more fail points to a perishable load.

Just have to remember that it's not a campground with quiet hours.

I would take a reefer over some D-bag in a straight piped long hood ripping his Jake brake through the parking lot. I know I know, at 10 mph you really risk burning up your service brakes, but have some courtesy!!

Park next to hot shots that want to be big trucks. If they want quiet, they can go park at Denny's like every other pickup :)
