    That means that over 56% of the time they get inspected, they find maintenance issues, and 5.3% of the time, the driver has an issue like a bad license, or expired physical. Looks like they get hit hard, and don’t care much for maintenance

    The guy you rode with, who supposedly has 20 years in with the company, hasn’t run under that DOT for all of those years, that’s a fairly new number, I’d say in the last 5 years or so, which tells me they’re constantly “restructuring” for some reason or another, shoddy equipment would be a cause. The company I work for has a 6 digit DOT, starting with a 1, that’s an established #.
